Biography

Zenon Raul Barros Cespedes is Professor of Fine Arts and Industrial Design at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile where he lectures on Visual Communication and Elements of research applied to Heritage. He is a manager for the Cultural University Extension Tom Santos, headquarters Vina del Mar from 2002 to 2008 in charge of cultural and artistic activities for the student community and communication general of the V region, as well as, coordinator of the Summer School.

He currently lectures at a number of institutions including Santo Tomas Vina del Mar; University Del Norte; University of Tarapaca ; University of Playa Ancha; University of Santiago on Cultural Municipal and Private Corporations; University of Valparaiso on Culture Projects and the Universidad del Mar on the Heritage Management Workshop.

He is a General Director of the Culture Municipality of Arica and in October will begin as a Graduate in Virtual Planning at the UAM Culture of Mexico
Planning and Management. From 2001 2002 he was Director of Art and Culture of the Municipality of Arica and in this capacity he also served as Director for the Cultural Corporation of Arica and was a member of the National Advisory Council on Monuments-Arica, Professor of Arts Cultural Corporation Arica; Adviser of the Santiago Chamber of Tourism-Arica Chile; founder of the Friends of the Municipal Theatre of Arica; Municipal Cultural formation of clusters of Arica. During this period he wrote eight books.

Prior to this he was adviser for the Municipality of Las Condes (Development Project Outreach Cultural); until 2000, Director of Arts Academy Bellavista, professor of art commissioned and Extension and painting exhibitions, Santiago; in 1995 Executive Director Printing PCI , Communications.

He has received various grant for Cultural Management and Administration from, amongst other, the Culture Ministry of Culture in Santiago, Chile; the APTI Getty Foundation Scholarship Foundation Getty San Juan Puerto Rico 2007; Scholarship Karrvaz Obtaining Residency Scholarship Karrvaz of artistic creation in Spain 2006.

Other Studies include "Administrative Tools in the field Universitario" University of North Arica; "Scientific Journalism" Universidad del Norte. Arica; "Sales and Marketing" Universidad de Chile. Santiago; "Photograph" Catholic University Santiago; "Introduction to Computer Graphics and Computer" Catholic University Santiago; "Signs" Universidad del Norte. Arica; Systems offset printing Digital Journal-El Mercurio of Santiago.

He co-authgored a publication with the prominent archaeologist Mr. Luis Briones on the Altiplano Colonial Churches in the region, 1. He also wrote "The Art and Cultural Mapuche" (USACH) Development and Research for creation of a Book of Heaven Chile in the Editorial Eight books and Planetarium Foundation of Chile; Design Publications for the first magazines Chung of the University of Tarapacá Museum or San Miguel de Azapa Arica; Project 2006 with El Mercurio Valparaiso "Traces Colonial Chapels and V of the" region with researchers and equipment for the newspaper to be published later this year.

Research includes a documentary film about her life and the Changes, collectors coast with local and municipal audiovisual equipment, Arica; Board Member of the Advisory Council of National Monuments Arica; Parinacota Research cultures and archaeological sites, Chinchorro, with the prominent archaeologist Guillermo Del Bocací Muses San Miguel de Azapa.
